The Manager – Education will have at least 5-7 years of experience administering and supporting educational programs. The right candidate will be flexible, adaptable, responsive, have excellent time management skills, good judgement in setting priorities, and the ability to multi-task across competing assignments.

About the Position
Reporting to the Sr. Manager/ Director of Education, the Manager is responsible for end-to-end management of live and on-demand virtual educational programming including program planning and production. The manager will have editorial oversight of the ASCRS textbook and other ASCRS virtual content. The Manager will also support a variety of education and education-related activities including Learning Management System (LMS) content administration, managing Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities across multiple platforms, website content management, ASCRS Committee administration, and education-related customer service.
The Manager must have a working knowledge of continuing medical education for healthcare organizations including ACCME accreditation. They will need to be extremely well organized, a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, and possess the initiative to identify problems and quickly develop solutions that focus on results.
Key Responsibilities
- Editorial Oversight
- Work with content experts to edit the online ASCRS Textbook.
- Work with committees and content experts on virtually published content.
- Virtual education planning and event production
- Participate in Program Planning and/or provide support for Program Planning Group.
- Set up events on Webinar/Virtual Event Platform and maintain event registrations.
- Speaker Management: including communications, scheduling, collecting agreements and financial disclosures, reporting information to Conflict of Interest (COI) Committee.
- Collaborate with Marketing/Communications Department on event marketing/promotional timelines and website needs.
- Facilitate practice sessions and host live virtual sessions.
- Post-event reporting and content management.
- Learning Management System (LMS) content administration
- Editing/preparing video content for posting to LMS.
- Writing and posting content to LMS.
- Maintenance of CME and non-CME content.
- Facilitation of content reviews.
- Management of the editorial process of online courses to ensure continued relevance of the material.
- Compiling reports as needed.
- Accreditation Management
- Ensure all content added to the various virtual platforms meets accreditation standards and criteria.
- Ensure all activities are appropriately reported in ACCME/PARS.
- Committee/Task Force/Special Interest Group (SIG) Administration
- Schedule and prepare materials for assigned committees/task forces/SIGs.
- Provide appropriate level of support (administrative assistance, project management, etc.) to chairs and members as needed.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience and at least 5-7 years of education and editorial support experience preferably in a medical or health care organization.
- Experience planning or supporting educational programming offered for CME and/or experience planning or supporting educational programming at an ACCME-accredited organization.
- Advanced knowledge of Office 365/Microsoft Office products particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Zoom Webinars or other equivalent webinar platforms, SurveyMonkey, iMIS or other AMS, and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with Adobe Pro, Learning Management Systems and/or Digital Publishing platforms, project management software (e.g., Zoho, Monday, or Basecamp), video editing, Vimeo or other video hosting site, Kentico or other web content management system.
- Experience working remotely, within a small team environment wearing multiple hats.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Creative and innovative with the ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines. You have a proactive and positive approach to process improvement.
- Strong collaboration skills across all levels. You possess leadership qualities including empathy and accountability, and you can form strong relationships with colleagues, members, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to address/resolve member issues quickly, using a clear, thoughtful manner and “member first” service perspective.
- Ability to travel up to 12 days a year to ASCRS meetings.
- Available to work several evenings a month.
